At Bernhardt Winery our mission is to produce quality wines and to provide a fun tasting experience in a warm environment. We are a small mom and pop boutique winery producing classic varietals and unique blends. We can produce approximately 6,000 gallons of wine each year. Our Tuscan-style tasting room sits on top of a beautiful hill overlooking endless hills and valleys, much like Tuscany. We carry traditional wine merchandise, along with fine jellies, jams and sauces. We are located just 8 miles from historical Montgomery, Texas, birthplace of the Lone Star flag and 17 miles from Navasota, the Blues capital of Texas and home to numerous antique stores. Enjoy a romantic getaway in the Loft, our cozy Bed & Breakfast above the winery. Also enjoy live entertainment at our lawn concert from 6pm-8pm Sunday evenings from mid-April through mid-November.

To support the vineyard, we built three ponds. With that much water, you need fish, so we stocked Koi. With fish and water, you need ducks. To protect the ducks from coyotes, you need brush, so we built a bamboo jungle maze. Jungles have burds, so we built an aviary. Just because they are smart and interesting, we got goats. To watch and supervise it all, we built an observation deck. Since we had the water distribution system and weren't busy anyway, we put in several acres of Christmas trees. Our unique winemaking process requires two climate-controlled cellars, so we built them for our very special nouveau-style wine made from whole-cluster fermentation. All this and a lovely tasting room and gift shop.

Cork This! Winery is a boutique winery located on Hwy 105 right in the heart of downtown Montgomery. All of our wines are made on premise from the highest quality varietals. It is our goal to break down the traditional wine-speak barriers and create an atmosphere where folks can relax, enjoy wine and most importantly have fun! Visitors can taste wine, or enjoy a glass inside or outside on our extensive patio. The Winery is also a great place for teambuilding retreats, wine bottling parties, private celebrations or just an escape from the daily grind with friends.

Visitors are welcome to tour this countryside vineyard and winery. Tours begin and end in the carefully constructed barn at the top of the hill. Spend some time studying the corkscrew collection and winery artifacts. The tour will take you through the path of the grape as it makes the wondrous transformation from vine to fruit to wine. In the cellar, you will experience the sites and smells of the wine-making process. In the tasting room, you will be able to sample the results of the wine-growing. Please join us in the rolling hills of Brenham to taste the wine traditions of the Zaffiro and Macedonio families. Our gift shop offers wines and souvenirs for sale.

Retreat Hill Cellars compliments our winery and vineyard operation in Navasota. It is located in the old First State Bank Building, about two blocks north of SH 105 in downtown Montgomery, Texas, birthplace of the Texas flag. This magnificent building was built in 1908 and was one of the first, "State" banks in Texas. The old vault is still in the building but the safe is long gone. The bank was declared insolvent in the 1930s, but legend has it that someone tried to blow up the safe when the bank was thriving. The black burn marks are still on the wall. Come by and see us and enjoy a great part of Texas history. At the "Cellars" do all of our lab work, blend, age and bottle most of our wines. We have a first class tasting room with plenty of seating, flat screen televisions and tableside service. We also have a great wine garden where we host live music two Saturdays each month. Retreat Hill Cellars is a great venue for private dinners or special events.
